Regitze Sophie Andersen Dinesen is the daughter of Birgitte Dinesen and the 9th generation of the Dinesen family at Kragerup Manor.

Growing up at Kragerup
Regitze was born in 1990 and grew up at Kragerup as a young girl. In 1998, Birgitte opened the first six B&B rooms. Back then, Birgitte and Regitze still lived in the main building in those rooms. Birgitte asked her daughter if they should turn Kragerup into a "party," and Regitze thought that sounded fun. However, neither of them had any idea how big this so-called party would become, nor that Kragerup in the future would consist of 57 rooms, parties, guests, conferences, an activity park, and much more.

At the time, it was just Regitze and Birgitte who cooked for the guests, handled the dishwashing, cleaned the rooms, and took care of all the practical tasks. Regitze clearly remembers delivering breakfast trays to the guests, politely knocking on their doors. It didn’t always go according to plan, though, and sometimes she had to pack up her toys because her dear mother had double-booked – meaning she had to move into her grandmother’s house in the park for a night when her room was needed for guests. "Today, I remember this whole period as a fun, crazy, and intimate time, where we were always around the guests – a bit like 'chaos at the seaside hotel.'"

Regitze always earned her pocket money at Kragerup, first washing dishes, later working in the kitchen, as a waitress, and as a climbing instructor. Eventually, she was employed as the event manager before her studies called.

"I was raised with the belief that with diligence and hard work, you can go the farthest. Additionally, I’ve always learned that anything in life is possible – you just need to ask someone who knows someone, be brave, and most importantly, never give up."

Preparation for the title of Manor Owner
From 2012 to 2018, she studied at CBS in Copenhagen, first obtaining a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Psych) and then a Master’s in Economics and Business Administration (Psych) – a graduate degree in business and psychology.

Regitze has worked as a project manager in several creative agencies, and in 2021, she took over the management and ownership of the estate. "My ambition is to carry on Kragerup’s proud legacy. I’m highly focused on operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and creating value for our guests. To me, Kragerup is not just a place where the past and present meet – it’s a place where guests can enjoy historic surroundings, fine dining, and try out activities in nature."
